Project Overview / Contribution
With Standards Connect, I worked closely with the product owner and sales to find the pain points of the current product. Using this information, I created high fidelity mockups to show the workflows of the product. I lead a weekly design review with the key stakeholders to ensure that the design was properly following the roadmap and use this feedback to assist in the generation of development user stories. Additionally, I lead a biweekly meeting with the development team to ensure that there would be no issues with implementing the designs into functional code.

Problem
ANSI Standards Connect is used by organizations worldwide to get access to the most up to date versions of standards. It works as a self service online store as well as version control for some of the largest companies that follow standardization. Previously the product was managed with a large amount of unsynchronized updates to ensure that every organization had the correct content and correct pricing. This lead to every transaction requiring manual price calculation and manual delivery of the latest documents through a series of scripts.

Solution
Standards Connect was updated with a new application to address the user pain points and allows for customer self service, automated pricing, and more in depth control over subscriptions than before. This process required ongoing research of the existing user base and collaboration with the senior staff and external stakeholders.
Document Search
Previously the documents were not visible until a user had a subscription account. Now users are able to browse documents and preview items to make sure they are purchasing the correct version.

List Sharing
Users are able to create and share lists of documents. This allows teams to create groups of documents for upcoming projects and collaborate on the material. Users can create new lists, share them with coworkers and send them to their acquisition department for purchasing.
Communication
To keep the communication channel easy to follow, the application has a built-in communication module. This allows for easy access for users to contact support and issue resolution.
