Photojournalistic Style
I tend to shoot weddings in a photojournalistic style, which means I won’t be telling you to say cheese (remember those elementary school portraits?), but I will be capturing the real moments from your wedding, as well as some that you didn’t even see. I prefer to shoot this way, because I capture the natural moments, candid shots, and the real emotion, rather than stiff, cold, posed shots.
Fast Turnaround
I have an incredibly quick turnaround time for wedding photos. If you’ve heard horror stories of waiting several months for wedding photos, that’s not me. On average, I turn around photos and prints in one to two weeks.
In House Printing
I handle all of my prints personally, which allows me to hold up my incredibly quick turnaround. Also, this allows me to have complete control over your prints, so they can look just as they were intended, rather than slightly adjusted by whichever mail-order service printed them.
Hasselblad Option
In this day of digital photography and trying to cut out expenses, I still offer the option to add a few rolls of glorious medium format film to your session. Since I develop and scan medium format film myself, this doesn’t add any time to your turnaround, and can be printed with the same printer all of your digital files are run on. I shoot a professional Hasselblad system, which has negatives 4 times the size of the best Canon and Nikon digital camera sensors. I love digital photography, and what it has done to help my business, but nothing beats the look of beautiful film. Especially if you’re looking for a vintage look, why fake it when you could have the real thing?
