Pre-Skateboarding, Salisbury, & St. Michaels
May 16, 2012 | Filed Under Annapolis, Portraits, Top Shots, Travelling
This last weekend started off with some skateboarding right before I had to take some shots at Patuxent. Before we went skating, Chris and I got in a quick beer, then proceeded to film and do gnarly WD stuff. After that it was a whirlwind of Salisbury, St. Michaels for Mother’s Day, and then back again to Salisbury. A fun time was had by all.
On an unrelated note, I am really digging the X100. If you’re accustomed to carrying a massive DLSR, I strongly recommend carrying a smaller camera. My 5DII pays the mortgage, but for fun I’d much rather carry around this tiny camera.

MAHU Awards 2012

Last night my dad was awarded the prestigious Maryland Association of Health Underwriters “Person of the Year Award”. I was lucky enough to be there to see him accept this award and hear his great, comical acceptance speech. Although he’ll say otherwise, he definitely deserves this honor.

Fuji X100 Walk

This week I wanted to try a new coffee shop to get a couple espressos before work, and focus on getting a new website out of the way before other work comes up during the day. I went to 49 West and took these photos along the way.

First Thoughts of the Fuji X100

I love taking photos. I carry a camera with me a lot of times when I go out, and sometimes, (in the case of carrying a Hasselblad 500c) this can merit some odd looks from non photographers. I frequently use my iPhone as a way to have a camera with me at all times, but that leaves a lot to be desired. Last year, Fuji came out with a camera that promised retro looks, sharp optics, a small size, and a DX sized sensor. That last bit really piqued my interest.

Nickerson Family Photos

I’ve been photographing Jackson Nickerson since he was only a few months old, and it’s been pretty cool to see him grow up over the last year.
